As a Sales Engineer (SE) you are a technical professional within the Enterprise Technical & Innovation division. You will be the technical subject matter expert in the field-specific of Baxter product portfolio, applications, and connectivity for presale activities. A high level of familiarity and confidence with the IT environments in the acute care setting where Baxter solutions will operate is essential. You will engage with prospective IT customers and represent the technical aspects of solutions to assist the sales team to advance sales opportunities. Lead technical handoff to implementation team(s) to support deployments at customer sites and be responsible for outcomes.
You will reports to the Director of Customer Experience & Integrations and you'll be a part of a team that is responsible for overall technology needs.
What you'll do:
Support sales solutions in the hospital clinical setting and effectively communicate with physicians, clinicians, and IT professionals
Promote Baxter solutions in a presale’s capacity with IT, clinical, and business prospects in partnership with the aligned field sales team
Conduct pre-sales technical consultation with prospective customers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure and provide IT scoping and proposals back to sales and professional services teams
Assist with training, IT professionals, and Biomedical Engineering staff at the customer site on technical features/functions as appropriate
Operate as a standout colleague with the ability to lead and/or take direction from others as appropriate
Conduct proficient written and verbal communications across all relationships and coordinate complex sales activities among multiple stakeholders
Serve as technical liaison from presale through implementation to ensure technical continuity for customers throughout the process
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering field (computer science, information systems, etc) or Business related
5+ years as an IT professional in this role or related roles, with emphasis on interacting with customers and deploying technology in a customer environment, with a strong preference for hospital experience
3+ years of experience with required technologies
Proven ability to deeply understand and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity issues, and have demonstrated experience in LAN and WLAN networking
Analytic ability and logical decision-making with superb communication and time management skills
Ability to understand and support existing computer applications and business users
