Summary

Baxter Thetford are looking for a Process Operator within our sterilisation team to join our organisation on a permanent basis. Your role will be to ensure that the Baxter product is sterilized in according to the validated processes on site and for monitoring the sterilization cycle. Working hours will be on a 3 shift rotation, Monday to Friday. (6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm / 10pm – 6am)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements. This includes raise EHS observation cards

  • Operate within the Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements meeting all safety quality and performance guidelines. Batch paperwork to be completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Role initiates problem solving activity within the area of responsibility - covering Safety, Quality and Performance.

  • This role performs Asset Maintenance and some Preventative Maintenance activities.

  • Role performs daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area

  • Role is actively involved in improvement programs and adopts new ways of working

  • Must be able to fulfill physical requirements needed to carry out job related tasks including meeting Speed and Quality requirements

  • Role liases with other departments eg Quality & Maintenance as appropriate

  • Roles perform other tasks within skillset, as required by Team Leader

  • Role Identifies atypical Identify atypical sterilization cycles and raise ASENF’s to ensure product meet requirements.

  • Role Maintain product flow through sterilization throughout the shift by ensuring Lag times are within acceptable limits

  • Role requires holder to use EPT/FLT’s to move Product in/out of the sterilizer / area

Qualifications / Experience

  • Manufacturing background/experience in Pharmaceutical/food environment would be essential.

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent work experience

  • Experience of setting up process equipment independently

  • Extensive fault finding and Problem solving experience

  • Person with a strong work ethic and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business

  • Good Communication skills - verbal, written, listening

  • Follows instructions – written and verbal

  • Ability to remain calm in a fast paced environment
