As a Staff Auditor at Baxter, you have the opportunity to work with our internal team as well as collaboratively with the teams we support. What you'll be doing
Audit consultants participate in a variety of financial and operational audits and special projects in Baxter's U.S. and international operations. Responsibilities include:
- Execute audit test plans at the direction of a Senior Auditor.
- Complete audits through reviewing and validating business processes, technology, systems, financial and operational controls, assessing financial and management reporting and business practices, and finding opportunities for improvements to controls, financial statement accuracy or financial results.
- Communicate audit results to customers and Global Audit Management.
- Follow up on Management Action Plans to assist in timely completion and validation of completion.
- Embed a culture of dedication and continuous improvement within the Global Audit Department and the functions which are audited by Global Audit.
- Staff Audit Consultants are required to travel between 25% - 40%.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or country equivalent).
- Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 2 + years of progressive relevant finance experience, preferably audit experience in the Big 4.
- Appropriate accounting or audit certification and foreign language skills are preferred.
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong technical and financial knowledge, including internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
- Ability to work in a team and results oriented environment, often cross functional.
- Working knowledge of PS applications (ie. Excel/Access).
