As a SeniorSoftware Engineer, Azure Cloud at Baxter, your work directly contributes to making a significant impact on others. Its challenging work—and you're not on your own. Your Team
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the research and development of advanced vision care cloud solutions, saving vision for diabetic patients in primary healthcare settings. You will have a strong technical background, superior problem-solving ability, and the drive and skill to help team members succeed technically and professionally. The Sr. Software Engineer is expected to own projects and communicate proactively with business partners, the agile team, and senior leadership. The senior engineer will be working with C#, .NET Core, ASP .NET in the Azure cloud to provide a class-leading cloud-based platform for integrated medical devices.
What you'll be doing
- Work in an Agile Scrum environment, focusing on sustainable development of high performance scalable, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to facilitate design discussions around architecture and business requirements with Architects, Product Owners, and Business Analysts. Take ownership of undefined and unbounded problems and work with the team to create and deliver scalable designs and solutions.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and development best practices across products, teams, architecture, and implementations.
- Ensure successful system delivery to the production environment and assist the operations and support team in resolving production issues, as necessary.
- Participate in the pull request (code reviews) process to ensure adherence to coding best practices.
- Proven track record of authoring exceptional code employing known software and enterprise patterns.
What you'll bring
- B.S. in an engineering, software development, or related subject area with 4+ years of validated experience in a software development role delivering solutions and driving products to production.
- Experienced in working on large enterprise, high-availability, software products.
- Proven professional experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP .NET, SQL.
- Experience with relational or document databases, both are a plus.
- Experience in microservice architecture, implementation, deployment, and testing (unit, integration, performance).
- Experience developing software in an agile environment and shipping features in a fast paced, cross-disciplinary team. (Product Owners, Designers, Business Analysts, QA, etc.)
- Proven experience with test driven development.
- Experience with CI/CD, Azure pipelines, or concepts and tools in integration/continuous delivery and deployment.
- Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Linux container, Kubernetes, and general containerization/orchestration approaches is a plus.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $60,000 to $132,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
