As a Category Product Marketing Manager for Patient Monitoring, you will provide the strategy development, execution and product lifecycle management of legacy Welch Allyn patient monitoring products within the Front Line Care business unit of Baxter.
With a focus on associated software, service, and technology offerings, this role will develop strategies to achieve growth and profitability goals and provide strategic feedback to maintain our goal of Advancing Connected Care.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Patient Monitoring, this position collaborates with R&D, service, strategic marketing, regional marketing, sales teams, as well as other internal and external partners. This role requires both domestic and international travel up to 20 % - 30 %.

This role is ideally based in the greater Syracuse/Skaneateles Falls or Deerfield areas with the ability to work in a hybrid model. If you are open to relocating to one of these areas; relocation will be offered!
What you'll be doing
- Leads all aspects of product development of new technologies from customer sensing to concept development through launch strategy. Authority in understanding customer needs and workflows.
- Develop, lead and deliver the portfolio strategy and global commercial marketing plan that comprises strategy, value proposition, positioning, messaging, and guidelines to drive regional execution; ensure tight-knit collaboration with regional constituents.
- Develops business plan and financial analysis for new products proposed while being the marketing lead on requirements definition and R&D project execution and the go-to-market strategy.
- Provides oversight to management of product costs, has input to global pricing of applicable portfolio, and margin maintenance. Provides input to 3-year strategic plan.
Product Management:
- Lifecycle management of products, including product launch, phase-out, incremental improvements and line extensions.
- Continuous evaluation of user needs and clinical trends to define products and improvements over the product lifecycle.
- Assess market potential for the right segment/targets, develop strategic business plan capitalizing on future market needs and opportunities.
- Monitoring of product manufacturing costs, and identification of trends and opportunities to reduce costs while working with sustaining engineering.
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of related professional experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
- A proven ability to successfully work with cross functional resources and engage teams across the matrix
- Requires knowledge of primary channel(s) for responsible products
- Effectively use and apply available analytical tools
- Experience with financial modeling to support New Product Development (NPD) decision making
- Experience developing product requirements for new technologies preferred
- Experience in Go to Market effort on an NPD team preferred including international strategy
