A fantastic opportunity for a Communications/ Marketing/ Journalism/ Social Sciences/ Media/Arts graduate/student to work in the exciting field of healthcare and have a hand in meaningfully contributing to Baxter’s internal and external communication efforts.  The intern will work closely with the SEA Head of Communications and have many opportunities to work directly with functional teams (commercial, regulatory, government affairs, HR etc) across seven markets (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and India). 

Content Development

• Develop content for internal APAC and South-East Asia newsletters/ announcements (Baxter global initiatives, SEA Quarterly Newsletters, SG Based HR programs, etc.) 

• Draft letters, press releases and other communication materials for external stakeholders according to needs of the market 

• Develop short articles and video assets for external social media channels (LinkedIn) and internal channels (Yammer, Stream)

Event Planning and Management 

• Ad hoc opportunities based on market needs

Leader Profiling

• Conduct media and social media monitoring and desk research to identify trends and themes of interest on which Baxter could take a position 

Requirements: 

• Curious minded individual with a great sense of initiative, who is excited by healthcare and the potential of medical technology to address our region’s healthcare challenges

• Excellent written and analytical skills; Good oral presentation skills; confident in sharing ideas with senior team members

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications/ Marketing/ Journalism/ Social Sciences/ Media/Arts or equivalent 

• Comfortable with design and video editing software such as Canva

• Able to commit for a period of at least 6 months on a full time basis ( possibility of extending thereafter)
