Summary:

Assist the IT Department in delivering technology support to the entire site.

Primary responsibility will be supporting our employee and operations with their technology needs including desktop support issues, IP phones, mobile devices, and printers, both in validated and non-validated environments. Must support network troubleshooting with guidance of corporate team, Windows operating systems and MS Office tools.

Provides moderate support, with general supervision, in one or more of the following technical areas: desktop, telecommunications, servers, messaging, security, and job scheduling. This includes monitoring, testing, and deploying these environments with guidance of local IT team and Corporate supporting teams. Is also accountable for executing regular maintenance activities on data center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own assigned tasks, resolve routine problems. Requires general direction, gives no direction to others and some knowledge of operating environments
  • First level support of users’ technology related issues. The support will be provided in any of the plant buildings and areas, or remotely to users working elsewhere.
  • Setup computer systems for new users and instruct on access to company systems including, email, desktop applications and accounting systems.
  • Remote troubleshooting and application support
  • Provide basic network troubleshooting
  • Provide basic support for multiple applications based on users’ requests
  • Assist with the support of the IP based phone systems – setup of new users and office move
  • Support users’ mobile communications devices including mobile phones, smart phones and tablets.
  • Assist with support of multi function office printers and desktop printers.
  • Make recommendations and implement enhancements for increased up time, performance and reliability
  • Ensure all end-user equipment is kept up to date with security patches and feature upgrades
  • Proactively monitor call queues and prioritize daily activities.
  • Provide routine support on hardware and software problems.
  • Provide support for technical area of support.
  • Provide 24 hour on call support as required Install, test, and maintain software and hardware components.
  • Document system/environment changes.
  • Monitor system activities.
  • Assist in various projects as required by supervisor.

Shift: 2nd shift Wed - Sunday; 3:00 pm to 10 pm, Sat and Sun will be 1st shift, 8 pm-5 pm.

Skills/Education

  • 3+ years of relevant technical experience
  • Regulatory procedures compliance
  • Computer applications testing
  • Computer problems troubleshooting
  • Root cause analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or 3+ years of relevant technical experience.

Certifications

  • Technical certifications are recommended. Personal computer maintenance, data networks configuration, desktop support, etc.

Training Details

  • Requires Baxter basic training for administrative employee, including all regulatory preparation.
  • Baxter standard build for computers configuration
  • Training in position over systems in place in RLDD.
  • Specific platform core knowledge to support Citrix, VMWare, Windows 10
