Overview

As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

Summary

Responsible for managing a portfolio of Baxter Products within the given assigned area. Accountable for delivering on sales and profit targets, as well as providing a high level of support and service to our NHS and Private Healthcare customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete portfolio selling to maximize growth opportunities for Baxter Nutrition products  with our customers.
  • Management of accounts buying supplemented Parenteral Nutrition bags, compounded bags and Parenteral Nutrition ingredients.
  • Management of Home Parenteral Nutrition customers and the selling of the HPN service from Baxter.
  • Training and education of Healthcare professionals on the safe, appropriate and effective use of Baxter Products to ensure optimum patient outcomes.
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing territory business plans that are aligned to a National strategy, as well as the ability to identify and act upon local opportunities.
  • Developing collaborative relationships to defend existing business base, via customer support, service and differentiating solutions clinically and financially versus the competition.
  • Effective use of CRM system to support planning, sequential selling and territory analyses in line with Baxter expectations.
  • Individual and group selling, as well effectively navigating a variety of customer types through the sales cycle.
  • Sales data and market analyses to inform activity and ensure a focused and results driven return on time.
  • Contribution to the tender management process, including tender lifecycle focused activity, tender submission and post-tender follow up.
  • Regular interaction with local and National peer groups to continually drive a culture of collaboration, support and sharing best practice.
  • Flexible mindset to thrive in a constantly changing external environment, as well as adapting to evolving internal business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification OR relevant Clinical background in Nutrition/Pharmacy/Nursing or Dietetics.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong sales background or able to demonstrate high level of knowledge aligned to relevant therapy area (desirable).
  • Strong IT skills (previous use of E-detailing, E selling) and presentation skills.
