Your Role
THIS IS WHERE you build trust to achieve results.
As the right- hand (or left) person for the Territory Sales Team, and reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the Sales Associate provides product in-service training for our Patient Support Systems portfolio (Smartbeds, surfaces & other medical devices) in a hospital setting to support product optimization. The Sales Associate also supports territory sales activities and assists with training new team members when needed.
This is a remote based role and candidates must reside in central or southern New Jersey (Morristown, Bridgewater, Somerset, Edison, New Brunswick, Princeton, Trenton, Cherry Hill, Toms River). Up to 75% travel, with overnight regional travel expected. Occasional national travel possible.
Local candidates only, please. We are not offering relocation for this position.
What you'll be doing
Work directly with sales team and customers post Purchase Order
Participates in delivery/implementation planning activities (customer meetings, conference calls, WebEx trainings, etc.)
Provide in person and virtual customer training on the intended use of portfolio product lines and conducts post-training follow-up with customer
Provide support to customers for skills fairs/product competency exams
Provide ongoing customer support, be a resource for additional clinical and product information, and ensuring post sale customer happiness
Provide account management support by identifying potential or actual customer complaints/issues and act as a liaison between sales team and customer to reach problem resolution
Identify needs and captures customer suggestions for product enhancements, and collaborates with business and project management in making product enhancement recommendations
Maintain detailed records of training and customer communication, providing updates to Salesforce.com and appropriate sales team contacts
Works with customers to identify success stories and data for potential publication; including performing clinical audits
Provide support in completing customer equipment inventories and other related sales activities
Acts as product trainer for new team members
May assist in sales process and quoting
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum one year sales experience, healthcare or medical sales preferred
Proven track record to form relationships with people easily, yet work independently and be self-motivated
Ability to travel up to 75%
Proficient in WebEx, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint applications

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. to that end, the salary for this role is 55K base plus 20K commission at plan. Commission target of 20K is uncapped.
