Territory Manager, Acute Therapies - Ontario

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Territory Manager, Acute Therapies you will drive sustainable long-term sales growth with existing, and new customers, through teamwork with marketing, account managementand clinical services, focused opportunity management and consultative sales process. Shared accountability for product and self-directed learning and development in conjunction with Baxter’s Leadership Expectations. You will partner with the local Clinical Consultants and together be thesubject matter experts regarding theproduct and the therapy within Acute Therapies within the Ontario market.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes and manages territory and sales activities in order to achieve sales targets.
  • Leverages and implements Marketing strategy and identifies opportunities within targets.
  • Works collaboratively with Marketing to identify, analyze and implement new methods and techniques to determine sales growth
  • Is the subject matter expert in Baxter’s Acute Therapies products, services, programs, and therapies and provides customers relevant information and solutions through the use of clinical tools and resources.
  • Assists customer teams in policy, procedure, and protocol development. Works in a consultative manner with customers and in collaboration with other team members to ensure customer goals are being met.
  • Applies product and market expertise to promote a high-degree of awareness and early adoption of Baxter’s Acute Therapies products
  • Effectively manages customer complaints and promotes positive relationships with customers
  • Evaluates market demand and works to meet customers needs and expectations
  • Executes the sales POA (Plan of Action)
  • Leads contracting cycle as required and provides relevant customer information.
  • Effectively utilizes sales and marketing tools and organizational systems, including Salesforce.
  • Proactively builds customer relationships, taking responsibility for their satisfaction and loyalty.

Customer Relationships and Territory Management:

  • Accountable for building and maintaining long term relationships with key customers to develop Sales Opportunities and grow the territory
  • Problem solve and own customer issues, while ensuring all parties and team members are kept informed of relevant information and resolution.
  • Provide feedback and keep in close communication with Sales Management/Marketing around customer needs, sales objections, competitive advantage levers and competitor’s activities and information.
  • Self-motivated and self- disciplined, with a focus on action and results

Key Targets by Therapeutic Specialist

  • Primary Call Points:  Critical Care and Nephrology Clinicians and Administrators, Procurement, Pharmacy, Hospital Administration, Group Purchasing Organizations
  • Timely and efficient completion of administrative tasks: Expense reports, internal and external communication, conferences etc.
  • Market intelligence: market surveys, communicate competitor intelligence

Maintain product / therapy expertise:

  • Responsible for self-directed maintenance of product and therapy expertise
  • Attend company training and utilization of clinical resources to enhance knowledge and learning.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and conventions as required.

Education and experience:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  •  Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience working in Critical Care environment or 8+ years experience with Critical Care experience with Sales
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge (dialysis, CRRT).
  • Sales and/or management experience in the healthcare industry
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge (Lung Protective Ventilation, ECMO)
  • 2+ years in Sales
