Your Role at Baxter

As the Sr. Manager Business Development, Peritoneal Dialysis you are responsible to generate new programs and services that will drive increased therapy adoption, create new streams of revenue, improve profitability and accelerate overall business growth. You will work closely with customers, internal and external partners to generate relevant insights, adapt and/or localize existing service offerings, and create new programs that align with marketing and/or business plans and objectives.

What you'll be doing
Lead research and insights generation activities that will seek out & evaluate adjacent opportunities and market growth initiatives for therapy expansion
Evaluate business adjacencies & potential partnerships (including M&A, JVs/partnerships, venture investments, equity investments, & co-development arrangements)
Lead the localization and early adoption of existing models and/or services that have been launched or piloted in other markets, establish pilot programs and implement build plans to scale
Work directly with Global Business Unit team members to identify existing programs that can be localized, develop strategic, financial and executional plans to pilot and scale, establish local partnerships with health care and/or other business organizations
Scan, build, manage, & maintain a pipeline of potential business development opportunities on an ongoing basis
Conduct analysis, including strategy work, clinical value, pitch creation, leading and working with cross-functional teams with emphasis on clinical aspects
Ability to Travel up to 10-20%
What you'll bring
4+ years professional work experience with a bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred)
Experience with starting up businesses, healthcare delivery, and partnerships
Clinical background - RN/BSN preferred
Healthcare industry experience and experience in the dialysis therapeutic area is preferred
Skilled at framing and guiding strategic problem solving to inform decision-making, using hypothesis generations, secondary data analyses and apply these approaches to solve complex business problems
Strong business and financial competence as well as critical thinking skills to drive strategy development
Willingness and ability to learn, especially in ambiguous circumstances
Proven success driving initiatives to meet or exceed targets
Significant cross-functional leadership capabilities in a matrix organization with ability to lead and collaborate (medical, functions, regions, country/clusters) and influence without authority
