Your role at Baxter
As a Senior Systems Specialist for Baxter Canada's Centre for IV Admixing (CIVA) site you will assume technical ownership of CIVA systems as Baxter continues to focus on uplifting automation in on our Digital Transformation journey.
You are responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of the internal CIVA Manufacturing IT and Infrastructure platforms. You'll rovide expert technical assistance to the team and consulting services to the business area to understand needs, assess, build and implement solutions to ensure support for continuous improvements. This onsite role will provide both operational execution and ownership while contributing strategically towards building an organization for the future and creating and maintaining an IT roadmap with enhanced automation, simplification and continuous improvement. You get to collaborate with quality owners and ensure technical implementations and modifications are appropriately documented within Baxter’s quality systems.
What you'll be doing
Be accountable as a technical lead for designing, implementing and testing complex core production IT (CIVA specific compounding applications, ERP integrations and devices) as well as infrastructure demands ensuring stability of the systems
Use data analytics/monitoring/alerting to provide technical direction on future design that will meet and/or exceed the long-term trends based on actual data and statistics
Lead IT Projects from inception through to implementation and support transition
Create, update, and maintain roadmaps and knowledge articles, and facilitate the development of training materials with CIVA training partners
Plan and develop endpoint infrastructure designs to meet company needs, current and future
Collaborate thoughtfully with local and global peers and partners as well as providers with hardware/software reviews, share and input into designs/requirements, and assist with building all Endpoint Product roadmaps
Be responsible for input and guidance into productivity tool sets and platforms for the end user digital experience which will include proof of concepts validation, product testing and validation, product/service certifications to ensure compliance with quality and security standards
Educate and train other support staff to have the knowledge needed to provide guidance with designs and solutions on existing products and services
What you'll bring
College diploma or university degree in a computer related field
5+years experience of end user environment technical deployments and support
3+ years of manufacturing IT support
Solid understanding of current Endpoint hardware, protocols, and standards
Exceptional MS Office skills with experience supporting O365, Active Directory, ERP (JDE)
Experience in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, MS Suite
Enterprise Mobility Management experience
Working knowledge of Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure) and VDI environments
Understanding of IT Operations and delivery of service
Analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge with agile/waterfall project management concepts, practices, and deliverables
Experience with knowledge gathering, creation of and maintenance of training materials and tools
Experience in a Project Management, IT project delivery and operational environments an asset
Bilingual - Spanish preferred
