Overview

As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

As a Sales and Marketing Specialist, Nutrition you take pride in representing Baxter and our products. Your keen understanding of our deep portfolio of products and belief in the value and quality they provide to patients fuels your confidence. Our customers trust you and appreciate your knowledge and curiosity when finding solutions to meet their needs. You enjoy being on location, building relationships, and establishing trust with the doctors and other healthcare professionals who use Baxter solutions every day.

In this role you will drive sustainable long-term sales growth with existing and new customers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario, through teamwork with Marketing and Medical Affairs, utilizing a consultative sales process and modeling Baxter’s Leadership Expectations. You will be the regional Subject Matter Expert on Nutrition products and therapies and accountable for the achievement of sales targets and maintaining the pipeline of opportunities in the territory. You will interact mainly with clinicians such as prescribing Physicians within targeted accounts.

What you'll be doing

  • Promote a high degree of awareness of Baxter’s Nutrition products, services and programs in targeted hospitals

  • Play lead role in strategic planning of expanding PN utilization in key accounts

  • Build and maintain key relationships (Physicians, Dietitians, Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists) to drive Baxter’s Nutrition product growth and therapy expansion in targeted accounts

  • Manage core lipid product strategy within the Nutrition product portfolio

  • Support product forecasting and demand planning, work with supply chain, regulatory, and/or quality to manage customer complaints and/or other product related issues

  • Support the pricing and contract strategy

  • Support the creation of marketing strategies, branding, positioning and portfolio direction based on market insights

  • Raise brand awareness through development and execution of marketing programs for entire Nutrition portfolio, with focus on digital campaigns

  • Supports development and promotion of educational programs aimed at growing the PN portfolio and manage the Nutrition Professional Website

  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns according to established KPIs

  • Complete expense reports, manage internal and external communications

  • Help coordinate and represent Baxter at conferences specified by Marketing & Sales Management

What you'll bring

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or Science - Nutrition preferred

  • 2+years of sales and marketing experience - therapeutic, pharmaceuticals or medical devices preferred

  • Digital Marketing experience

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

  • Project management and organizational skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Problem solving skills with focus on customer satisfaction
