  • 6 years of Experience in Data-Oriented application development and Support or Sustaining role, demonstrating strong SQL expertise, familiarity with Data Warehouse, Data Model and Data Integration concepts
  • Cloud First - Plenty of experience with developing and deploying data driven application in a cloud native environment preferably AWS cloud
  • Hands on experience in AWS ecosystem for Data ingestion, Storage, Processing services like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step functions, EC2, EMR, Athena, SNS, RDS,DMS etc
  • Experience working in data engineering using Python on Cloud platforms like AWS. Proficient in programming in Python. With experience of packages like pandas, numpy, boto, s3fs, flask, fastapi, pyarrorw, pyspark etc.
  • Hands-on experience with any of the ETL tools (Datastage, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Matillion), preferably IBM Datastage
  • Experience in working with Cloud Datawarehouse ecosystems like Snowflake or Redshift
  • Good understanding of core Snowflake concepts like data sharing, UDFs, zero copy clones, time travel, snowpipe, stream, tasks, micro partition, stored procedures, data import/export, external tables, data types (variant/array/object), etc
  • Expert in SQL programming and experience working with relational databases, as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases (Oracle/Postgres/Teradata/MySQL)
  • Experience with any of the orchestration tools (Control-M, Autosys, Airflow) , preferably Control-M for scheduling and batch processing
  • Strong problem-solving skills to understand complex structured and/or unstructured datasets and their relationships to find issues and provide programmatic solutions.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborative personality with experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to technically collaborate with product engineers and customer support teams while troubleshooting customer escalations

Technical Skills:

  • Data stage 8.5/8.7/9.1, UNIX, Oracle 19c (5+ years), Python, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step functions, EC2, EMR, Athena, SNS, RDS,DMS
  • Control M (2+ years)
  • Data stage Mapping, Shell Scripting, Knowledge on Support process
  • Knowledge in Data warehousing is must
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Data stage ETL tool required.
  • Latest 2+ years’ experience should be in data warehouse development.
  • Required good understanding in dimensional modeling.
  • Should be good in database concepts, sqls and unix shell scripting.

Educational Qualification: BE/MCA /M.Sc  degree

Soft Skills:

  • Working knowledge in UNIX shell scripting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong critical listening and thinking skills

Nice to have skills

  • 1+ year of experience in Control-M development is added advantage and not must.
  • Knowledge on AWS, Python, Snowflake
