This Position will be involved in new and continuing product development initiatives from our Enterprise Connectivity organization focused on driving connected care.
Participation on highly visible system projects from initial development to on-going support. Responsible to continue to seek out improvements and serviceability into products and systems for pre-sales, installations, validation, go-live and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with new product development and continuing engineering teams to ensure that serviceability is built into products and systems.
- Collaboration with the service organization, marketing, regulatory and product development to align requirements and implementation.
- Expertise in networks, system design and integration.
- Sound processes for reproducible deployments, validation and supporting customers.
- Create and document processes essential for service procedures, installations, validation, support, and administration.
- Partnering with Customer Care in a Customer Service Escalation Support role.
Required Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, CIS or Computer Science and at least 5 years of technical experience.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Field service experience is a plus, as is knowledge of FDA regulations/guidelines.
- Certification in one or more of the following is a plus: Operating Systems (MCSE, A+), Networking (N+, CCNA), Wireless (CWNA, ACMA).
- Understanding of project management principles enabling to build a solid project plan with a firm foundation to iterate from, identify priority issues, and effectively mitigate risk with cross functional teams.
- Ability to break down the technical interfaces with other systems products will be highly valued.
- Prior experience with generating processes and procedures that comply with regulated standards and requirements, and the ability to engage in technical discussions with technical staff is critical for service procedures, installations, validation, support, and administration.
Additional skills preferred:
Excellent troubleshooting skills, including: 802.3, 802.11 and 802.1X encryption, authentication and Certificate standards, Wireshark, AirPCAP or similar tools.
