Renal Therapies Specialist training and promoting Baxter products.

The Renal Therapy Specialist (RTS) is a member of the Chronic Renal Business Unit reporting to the Head of Renal Ireland.  The role holder will be a champion for the preferred patient pathway and promote this to healthcare professionals to ensure all dialysis patients are able to access the right therapy at the right time in the right place according to their individual needs and circumstances. RTS’s work together with healthcare professionals within Renal Units from across the island of Ireland to drive clinical practice efficiencies and effectiveness; along with the appropriate use of Baxter products.  The RTS will work collaboratively with all members of the Baxter Renal Team ensuring alignment of activities with strategic business priorities and marketing activities to drive results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

The Renal Therapies Specialist is accountable and responsible for the following activities:

  • Achieving sales budgets and qualitative business objectives for the assigned therapies by:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, proposing innovative solutions and explaining and promoting Baxter’s product portfolio and their benefit.
  • Promote the preferred patient pathway to healthcare professionals using up to date evidence for the right therapy in the right place at the right time
  • Demonstrate and train customers on Baxter Renal therapies, products and services effectively and constructively through an evidence-based approach.
  • Ensure customers are updated regarding developments in product and/or clinical application to optimize clinical outcomes
  • Implement identified therapy and product marketing campaigns/activities.
  • Provide educational support to customers through formal training days onsite in hospitals or virtually as appropriate.
  • Facilitate peer to peer networking opportunities across the territory for renal unit staff, to encourage benchmarking against best demonstrated evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain up to date customer records though effective and timely use of our CRM tool.

    Develop and maintain excellent personal knowledge of the therapy environment, products and their applications and ensure product/renal knowledge remains current and evidence based.
