Your role at Baxter:

As a Renal Therapy Specialist (RTS) you are a member of the Renal Care UKI Business Unit reporting to the Head of Renal Care Ireland & Scotland.  The role holder will be a champion for the preferred patient pathway and promote this to healthcare professionals to ensure all dialysis patients are able to access the right therapy at the right time in the right place according to their individual needs and circumstances. RTS’s work together with healthcare professionals within Renal Units across Scotland to drive clinical practice efficiencies and effectiveness, along with the appropriate use of Baxter products.  The RTS will work collaboratively with all members of Renal Care UKI ensuring alignment of activities with strategic business priorities and marketing activities to drive results.

What are your responsibilities?

Achieving sales budgets and qualitative business objectives for the assigned therapies by:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, proposing innovative solutions and explaining and promoting Baxter’s product portfolio and their benefit.
  • Promote the preferred patient pathway to healthcare professionals using up to date evidence for the right therapy in the right place at the right time.
  • Demonstrate and train customers on Baxter Renal therapies, products and services effectively and constructively through an evidence-based approach.
  • Ensure customers are updated regarding developments in product and/or clinical application to optimize clinical outcomes
  • Implement identified therapy and product marketing campaigns/activities.
  • Provide educational support to customers through formal training days onsite in hospitals or virtually as appropriate.
  • Facilitate peer to peer networking opportunities across the territory for renal unit staff, to encourage benchmarking against best demonstrated evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain up to date customer records though effective and timely use of our CRM tool.
  • Develop and maintain excellent personal knowledge of the therapy environment, products and their applications and ensure product/renal knowledge remains current and evidence based.

We are presently seeking people who have:

  • Recognised nursing qualification with 3 years renal experience or ITU experience.
  • Post graduate renal nursing certificate/ITU Certificate preferable. Master’s degree level desirable but not mandatory
  • 3 years training / selling experience within the Healthcare industry desirable but not mandatory
