Responsible for managing and growing HSE, Private and Public Heathcare Customer accounts within the Fluid Systems Portfolio with a specialist focus on balanced solutions (Equilibria) to maximise revenue, profit, customer growth and customer experience within Ireland (ROI) by developing, strengthening, and maximising long-term customer relationships and strategic partnership working within targeted hospitals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To have worked within the healthcare industry for a minimum of 3 years
- Maintain all existing business and grow to achieve the required sales targets. Portfolio sell to maximise growth opportunities and position appropriate clinical choice for our customers.
- Develop, implement, and review territory business plans that are aligned to a National strategy, as well as the ability to identify and act upon local opportunities
- Educate Healthcare professionals on the safe, appropriate, and effective use of Baxter products (Balanced Solutions) to ensure optimum patient outcomes.
- Promoting the preferred patient prescribing pathway to healthcare professionals using up to date evidence for the right product in the right patient at the right time.
- Presenting clinical, financial and value- based solutions to key decision makers within the Healthcare sector.
- Coordination and facilitation of a multidisciplinary team (internal and external) to implement and assert transformational change in fluid prescribing
- Take lead responsibility for key accounts to truly understand what value looks like in the eyes of the customer and feed insights into evolving strategies.
- Keeping customers updated regarding developments in product and/or clinical application to optimise clinical outcomes working in collaboration with Internal teams to drive strategic direction and partnership working.
- Implement identified therapy and product marketing campaigns / activities.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team, Integrated Care Solutions, Evolving Health and Medical Affairs to identify and develop Key Opinion Leaders in assigned therapy areas both regionally and nationally and to ensure agreement and execution of agreed critical success factors and strategic objectives
- Liaising and communicating with other Baxter departments / business units to achieve Company objectives.
- Developing collaborative relationships to defend existing business base, via customer support, customer services and differentiating solutions clinically and financially versus the competition.
- Individual and group selling skills, as well effectively navigating a variety of customer types through the sales cycle (remote and face to face environments)
- Ability to negotiate consistent and transparent pricing to secure long term profitable and sustainable sales / market presence.
- Sales data and market analyses to inform activity and ensure a focused and results driven return on time.
- Accurate forecasting and compliance with internal processes to meet customer demand and drive sustainable supply of assigned products.
- Regular interaction with local and National team / peer group to continually drive a culture of collaboration, support and sharing best practice.
- Tender management process for the accounts on territory, including pre-tender focused activity / influencing, tender submission and post-tender follow up. Submissions must maintain the required profit margin
- Utilise and have extensive knowledge on the frameworks and other purchasing routes which an account can access
- Agile mindset to thrive in a constantly changing external environment, as well as adapting to evolving internal business priorities and evolving strategies
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal in both a face-to-face environment and virtual environment
- Early adopter / Innovator of digital technologies including CRM system
- The use of CRM system to support planning, sequential selling, and territory analyses.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Experience
- Degree level qualification or relevant Clinical background
- Experience within the Healthcare Industry / Hospital environment / Medical sales
- Commercial background or able to demonstrate high level of clinical knowledge aligned to relevant therapy area (desirable)
- Full driving license
