Position Description:
The Senior Project Manager - Change Management will play a key role in ensuring that the new systems and processes are rolled-out successfully. This role will focus on the people side of change – including business process, job roles and responsibilities, governance, and system/technology adoption. The primary responsibility will be to create and implement change strategies and operational plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of the new system. You will also streamline processes regarding product usage and numbering, requirements and verification, and product lifecycle management. The Senior Project Manager - Change Management will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency.
Reporting Relationships:
This role does not have employee supervisory responsibility; this person will report to the VP, Renal R&D and will collaborate many others in the organization. As this program progresses, this role may supervise contractors .
Responsibilities:
- Understand systems and process changes and lead associated change management activities.
- Assess the change impact and complete change management assessments.
- Create a change management strategy.
- Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
- Identify and manage anticipated resistance.
- Consult and coach project teams.
- Create actionable deliverables for communication plan, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
- Support communication and training efforts.
- Support and engage senior leaders, and coach managers and supervisors.
- Identify organizational gaps and governance required and make recommendations.
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field; MBA or MS a plus.
- Must have 10+ years of product development and/or R&D experience in regulated environment (Healthcare preferred), and 5 years of organizational change management experience.
- Deep understanding of Baxter’s existing product development process for varying product lines.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal, and active listening skills. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across Regulatory, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
- Flexible and adaptable - able to work in ambiguous situations and to bring clarity to the process
- Forward looking with a holistic approach.
- Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with and through others.
- Experience with large-scale projects that drive change.
