Summary:  

Senior analystwill beresponsible for driving the execution of all inboundproductsshipping from our various global plants into the US and Canada. This role will work closely with global and domestic carriers,warehouse locations, 3PLsand cross functional stakeholdersto ensure continuity of supply.This role is expected to drive carrier performance and KPIsalong with building continuous improvement plans.We encourage an independent thinker with diversity of thought to support a culture of agility and collaboration. Data collection,reporting andanalysisare key to the success in this role. 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:  

  • Proactivelypresent any risks and opportunitiesof product replenishmentusing expert understandingof international freight forwarders, global Ocean freight and global Air freight markets, trends andlatestdevelopments 

  • Create open lines of communication with ourcarrier partnersacrossglobalOcean, Air, TL and Intermodal modesprimarily

  • Drivecarrierperformance by reporting on KPIs 

  • Collaborate with our global Center of Excellence partnerson a regular cadence to discuss opportunities and risks. Areas of collaboration include:

  • Drive continuous improvement culture with a pipeline of ideas for service improvements, cost reduction, efficiency and/oroptimization

  • Lead LEAN projects

  • Assist in developing long term carrier strategy for theBaxter globalnetwork

  • Expertise inpulling, validating,analyzing and presentingkey data to facilitate decisionmaking

  • Collaborate internally with Planning, Customer Service, Warehousing, Freight Audit and other internal stakeholders asneeded

  • Present updatesto our Transportation Leadership Team with cleartiming and deliverables.

Qualifications: 

  • Strong communication skills (withteam, peers, and upper management) and ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and Supply base

  • Thinks strategically,innovatesand makes recommendations for improvementsconsistently

  • Requires the ability to influence the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitivesituations

  • Analyticalexperiencefor solving complexproblemswith clear fact-basedsolutions

  • Ability to communicate across multiple levels of theorganization

  • Embracesa culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the functions to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions tomeet service commitments andbudgetrequirements

  • Agile mindset to constantly adapt to a changingenvironment

  • Strongproficiency with Transportation Management System (TMS), BI Analytics Tooland Visibility software

  • Collaborates closely with peers across all Supply Chain teams.

Educational/ExperienceRequirements include:  

  • BS in Operational/Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineeringorsimilar degree

  • 2+years relatedexperience

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Tools
