Position Overview 

  • This critical, newly-created role is responsible for upstream commercial strategy needs/ initiatives for the GS organization for your products portfolio; including working with upstream product marketing teams within Baxter’s Global Business Units (GBU) to gather customer insights, develop the value proposition for new/existing service offers, define requirements for new product development efforts, work with regional service marketing/ service operations counterparts to support product/ service offer launches/drive order intake

  • You’ll work with a geographically/culturally diverse team that works across multiple global time zones

  • Exciting opportunity to shape the future of our commercial strategy, offer customers new capabilities in connectivity/digital health, and create new options for building service value/offerings that are meaningful to Baxter’s customers

Critical Responsibilities

  • Global subject matter expert within Service for your product portfolio, understand/apply clinical/service value propositions, install base, installation/service strategy, service offers/ revenue flows, and product end of life and launch plans

  • Partner with GBU Marketing and Service Engineering teams to assure that Technical Service value proposition/selling messages are incorporated in new product development, sales trainings, launches, and geographic expansions

  • Lead the development of commercial service offerings that support new product development, digital products, and transformation of after-market service experiences for the product lines supported

  • Monitor/drive global revenue, capture rates, and service order intake for the products/service offerings you support

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop the service commercial/marketing strategy and business cases for your product portfolio to drive long-term top-line revenue growth for the GSO

  • Work cross-functionally with GBU Marketing leads, service engineering, finance, marketing operations and other cross-functional team members to accomplish objectives

  • Own/drive digital global marketing initiatives. e.g., launch of our customer-facing Service Portal, content development, customer engagement, and driving adoption.

  • Owns digital internal/external communications such as value propositions, website content, and internal yammer posts

  • Manages external agencies re: brochures, videos, and content development

  • Owns global ad prom approvals, service NPS process/scoring, and global customer success metrics 

  • Organize/drive downstream marketing initiatives with regional/local teams to assure smooth product launches/adoption of service offerings

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of progressive leadership in strategic product marketing

  • Experience in global healthcare required

  • Demonstrated experience in performing market research, and using voice of customer, benchmarking, and market insights to develop commercial strategy/influence product development roadmaps.

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with the ability to use data, analysis, and financial acumen to drive decision-making.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Proven results in creating, implementing, and maintaining strategic initiatives using innovative thinking and problem skills

  • Strong work ethic, ability to take initiative without direct oversight and to work independently in a fast paced, evolving environment

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a multi-cultural, global setting

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once

Preferred/Not Required

  • Experience in service marketing

  • Commercial or sales experience
