About Baxter’s Sharesource Platform

Sharesource remote patient management platform is a two-way, digital health solution that enables healthcare professionals to stay connected with their home dialysis patients. 

Sharesource is the most widely adopted digital health platform for home dialysis, available in more than 90 countries, that has helped manage more than 20 million home peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatments globally.1 The remote patient management platform allows healthcare providers to securely view their patients’ recently completed home dialysis-related treatment data that is automatically collected after each PD session. Healthcare professionals can then act on this information by remotely adjusting their patients’ home device settings without requiring them to make additional trips to the clinic.

Overview

  • Baxter's long history of creating/driving establishment of all dialysis standards of care worldwide is expanding now with Sharesource - the first major remote patient monitoring/management platform for the care of patients on peritoneal dialysis therapy

  • Digital health is a key growth platform for Renal care, as well as for Baxter overall. This role is central in continuing to drive/develop our leadership in this space.

  • You’ll join a team that has recently won the Global Baxter Chairman’s award for Innovation, and has produced several patents

  • A great/unique career opportunity to see product from concept through to field (90 countries), be a key player in Healthcare’s digital transformation and positively impact both change and lives on a global basis

Critical Responsibilities

  • Managing a growth strategy for Sharesource across the globe. Over the last 4 years, Sharesource has experienced true transformational growth, growing tenfold. This role is central to establishing strategies to continue this market-leading growth.

  • Develop marketing plans/uncover new opportunities based on customer needs while working with other functional areas (e.g., R&D, Regulatory, Sales)

  • Scope of responsibility ranges from existing product portfolio/line extensions to concept/introduction of new product lines, including new patient mobile applications and workflow/interoperability solutions that connect clinical information systems to the suite of developing digital tools in the Sharesource portfolio. 

  • Drive further development of claims/evidence for the portfolio/foster strong relationships across the organization and Nephrology community to shape overall evidence/product strategy.

Key Qualifications

  • Solid/demonstrated ability to understand market trends, financial data, and customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data

  • Proven skills in messaging, branding, creative product/program development, portfolio marketing, education delivery and product pricing

  • Strong results orientation with solid financial/business acumen

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional and global stakeholders

  • Proven track record in successfully launching new products globally and managing projects to successful completion.

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, account management and commercial excellence.

  • Prior experience in shaping evidence generation strategies or dissemination of clinical evidence as a part of commercial marketing and marketing campaigns.

  • Experience in renal replacement therap(ies) or similar product/therapy marketing and sales is highly valued

  • Demonstrated successes in product management and therapy marketing strongly preferred, preferably with some prior experience in software applications in healthcare or in the consumer healthcare space

  • Proven success in working with teams globally is strongly preferred.

  • Customer Focus – A passion to represent Voice of Customer of patients/professionals to understand unmet market needs/cost-effective solutions. A proven track record of managing high profile customer relationships, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

  • Therapy and Product Expertise – Strong ability to translate therapeutic goals/practices, along with technical product details, into easy to understand features/benefits to position with differentiated communication tools. Ability to design market research, then apply findings to overall education strategies

  • Strong Team Player - High energy team player with a focus on meeting commitments/ contributing to a high-performance culture, work in a multicultural matrix environment and build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse group of cross-functional team members including third party vendors, quality, regulatory, supply chain, customer service, transportation, industry partners, and sales

  • Communication - Ability to develop/execute verbal and written communication plans, messaging, and brand campaigns across multiple stakeholders, organization levels and functions. Entrepreneurial Mindset – Ability to conceptualize new concepts driven by deep understanding of the users of Sharesource and execute their introduction into revenue generating solutions.

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA degree required. MBA strongly preferred.

  • Eight to ten years of experience in marketing; previous marketing experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred

  • Must be skilled in communication, managing in a matrix, negotiation and strong executive presence

  • Prior experience with education delivery programs and curricula to HCP's is highly valued

Preferred/not Required

  • Prior education or experience in software product management, computer science or other technical field using computers or IT is preferred – or experience in product management of a technology portfolio or product.
