Baxter’s Advanced Surgery business unit develops solutions to challenges faced by surgeons every day.Baxter's portfolio of products and programs are foundational to the cadence of surgery, just as surgeons, nurses, and administrators are essential to the art of healing.

Sealants may be applied in surgery to achieve several goals, including hemostasis (the cessation of bleeding) or sealing. Historically, gas-assisted spray application of sealants has provided surgeons the ability to cover broad or targeted surgical sites with precision and control. Despite their utility, these systems can sometimes be challenging to maintain and set up on a routine basis.

This project represents a major incremental innovation for our business and is expected to enhance adoption of key products with the aim to enhance ease of use in application of Baxter’s surgical sealants, avoiding the sometimes-difficult setup of traditional systems by creating an all-in-one, ready to use system for gas-assisted spray application.
