  • We are building sophisticated technologies to improve healthcare, and we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Digital Innovation Lab team. 

  • We are seeking an experienced full stack software engineer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization.

  • Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of innovation projects across the entire stack.

  • Our ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of cloud architecture, web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages.

  • You will be collaborating with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions in full stack development tools and technologies. 

  • You’ll be joining a small team working at the forefront of new technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front end and back-end architecture, and ultimately, deliver amazing global user experiences. 

Critical Responsibilities

  • A willingness to actively participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including but not limited to story refinement, estimation & planning, platform design & implementation, test & deployment automation, and platform resiliency and support

  • Develops new features to the front-end user-interfaces or develops new front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.js, Angular, etc.

  • Develops back-end applications using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, .Net, etc. as needed to support the user interface

  • Develops databases using MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle and SQL Server as well as various serverless databases

  • Works with end users and other team members to gain a solid understanding of requirements and document as needed

  • Create seamless user experiences across multiple platforms while supporting a wide variety of use cases across patients, mobile providers, hospital staff, and more

  • Create well-designed test cases and be familiar with testing guidelines and best practices

  • Develop visually appealing front end website architecture, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code

  • Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth

  • Design user interactions on web pages

  • Develop functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end

  • Ensure cross-platform optimization for developed applications

  • Explore and introduce innovative development techniques and technologies

  • Stay current and provide insight on cutting edge software approaches and architectures

  • Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions

  • Own the whole software development lifecycle for new features, including service ownership, testing, CI/CD, troubleshooting, and support

  • Work on integration issues and determines the integration approach. Coordinate with other areas for integration architecture solutions

  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, deployment, and promoting knowledge management of the POC

  • Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale

  • Collaborate with team located across multiple time zones and in the newly formed Digital Innovation Lab

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.

  • 7+ years of experience building, testing, and deploying large-scale software applications with automated processes as a Full stack software developer/engineer

  • Experience building web and mobile applications

  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful and SOAP APIs

  • Experience with Machine Learning and/or data analytics

  • Experience with Docker

  • Expertise with essential front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and UI/UX design

  • Expertise with third-party libraries like jQuery, LESS, Angular and ReactJS

  • Knowledge of multiple back-end\server-side programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, .Net etc.

  • Expertise in at least one DBMS technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, Snowflake, and SQLServer.

  • Knowledge of caching mechanisms like varnish, Memcached, Redis is a plus

  • Knowledge about security concerns at each layer of the stack and data protection

  • Familiarity with any of the common stacks: LAMP, LEMP, MERN, MEAN, Django and Ruby on Rails

  • Experience in implementing high-scale modern cloud architectures preferably in AWS using serverless components, micro-services, and cloud-based container platforms (IaaS/PaaS) Excellent debugging and optimization skills

  • Unit/integration testing experience

  • DevOps and CI/CD experience

  • A proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on technical projects

  • Prior experience in a Digital Innovation Lab is a plus
