The Project Leader is a servant leader to cross-functional teams and the Global Business Unit.

The cross-functional team members are globally distributed and tasked to deliver new product, sustain existing product, and improve manufacturing processes and organizational performance.

The Project Leader facilitates the global teamwork and mobilizes people and resources to deliver on the business targets.

This leader is further expected to spearhead the cultural transformation to a high-performance product development operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the teams to delivery project results per customer requirements
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management on project chartering and business case compilation
  • Mobilize and lead people, manage resources and budget to deliver on business targets
  • Establish solid communication to global stakeholders for a maximum of transparency
  • Guide teams in decomposing complex work items to enable Agile project team backlogs
  • Prioritize team backlog in collaboration with program management
  • Deploy metric based project tracking
  • Train teams in Agile product development methodologies
  • Coach teams to high performance

  • Change Agent – Must be the catalyst for the teams and is expected to lead the transformation to a fail-fast-learn-fast culture enabling continual improvement throughout the business unit

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred
  • 10+ years of product life-cycle experience including 7+ years in project management with demonstrated success leading multi-site, global or enterprise wide programs in heavily regulated industry
  • Experience in virtual team leadership throughout the product creation life cycle, from inception to manufacturing start
  • Expert knowledge in SAFe Agile or related frameworks and methodologies, applied to physical product development
  • Current Project Management Certification preferred: Agile and Waterfall (PMI, IPMA, SAFe, CSPO, etc)
  • Solid experience in applying ISO 13485 and FDA QS Regulation 21 CFR Part 820 to new product development and sustaining engineering projects
  • Hands-on experience using Agile Lifecycle Management Tools
