Your role at Baxter

As a critical member of the Batesville team, the Senior Principal Maintenance / Facilities Engineer plays a primary role in maintaining our manufacturing equipment and our five-building campus. In this leader role within the maintenance team, the Senior Principal Maintenance/Facilities Engineer fills a key spot on the team and manages projects that ensure our facilities and equipment are consistent with world class operations!

What you'll be doing

  • Create and continuously improve the systems for the elimination of downtime in manufacturing and utilities.
  • Support the manufacturing process, with projects to improve the quality, cost and lean manufacturing.
  • Support manufacturing in the installation of new processes.
  • Responsible for maintenance budgets.
  • Comply & provide all corporate requirements.
  • Develop, implement programs & practices to 100% compliance with applicable federal, state, local and Baxter regulations & practices.
  • Assure the execution of the maintenance programs.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • To lead the zero-harm initiative at Baxter.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the following specialties: facilities and equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Person filling this role needs a strong mechanical abilities.
  • Possess the capability to do structural analysis and evaluation.
  • Solid understanding of roofing systems.
  • Solid understanding of pressure vessels (boilers/ steam).
  • Knowledge of machine safety applications, maintenance systems, industrial processes, electrical systems, electrical wiring diagrams, safety, electrical code, and safety laws.
  • Experience with machine hydraulics, machine pneumatics, machining, maintenance, fabrication, fire protection systems, PLC machine logic, motor controllers and servo drives.
  • 6s, systems implementation.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $80,000 to $180,000, plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
