Your role at Baxter:

We are searching for a Technical Service Engineer based in Athens (Markopoulo area) who will be responsible for performing service activities in the Field or in Workshop for a period of 18 months. They will work closely with sales, QA/QC, Customer Service/Supply Chain to address customer concerns, settle corrective action and customer follow-up.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Install, complete, maintain, upgrade or implement Field Corrective Actions on electro-mechanical medical devices (Infusion Pumps) as per defined service requirements and complete other technical activities accurately in Workshop or Field in daily base, according to specific rules and guidelines.
  • Perform software updates and hardware upgrades as needed.
  • Report all relevant service activity in the service systems and applicable datasheets, to ensure updated and accurate service data.
  • Use mobile devices such as cell phone, laptop and tablet to complete activities including communicating with customers, updating work orders, completing checklists, accessing portals and training, diagnosing problems, and maintaining schedule of activities.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate communication & partnership with customers, team members and business contact.
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable service and quality requirements as well as company and operational/organizational rules.

We are presently seeking people who have/are:

Qualifications:

  • Plans and prioritizes work effectively
  • Shows initiative, Self-motivation and positive approach
  • Possess IT knowledge on general connectivity and network integration of devices
  • Capacity to communicate in English will be helpful
  • Ability to use common hand tools (sharp cutting tools, crimpers etc) along with ability to assembly test fixtures and measuring equipment


Education and/or Experience:

  • Technical degree, diploma or equivalent (preferably in the biomedical/ electromechanical)
  • Relevant experience as service technician on electro mechanical devices desirable with preference in the medical device sector
  • Basic fixing knowledge
  • Principles electro-mechanics, Electrostatic Discharge protection/requirements, Medical Device Directive knowledge will be an advantage
