We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Global Trade Compliance Team in Lessines. In this role, you will support import and export operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive strategic cost-saving initiatives.
What you'll do
Support the Global Trade Compliance Team : Provide essential support to the Global Trade Compliance Team in managing daily import and export operations, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, and directives from government agencies.
Strategic Cost Savings Initiatives : Assist in identifying, qualifying, implementing, and operating strategic cost-saving initiatives, including foreign trade zones, duty drawback programs, free trade agreements, and duty suspension regimes.
Comprehensive Audits and Corrective Actions : Conduct thorough audits of import and export transactions, collaborating with analysts to implement corrective actions. Regularly review audit results with the Senior Manager of Global Trade & Customs Strategy and Solutions to ensure continuous improvement.
Internal Procedures and Training Development : Coordinate the review and updating of all internal procedures, contributing to the development of associated training modules to enhance team knowledge and compliance.
Government Requests Management : Manage responses to official government inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Collaboration with Stakeholders : Facilitate interactions with service providers, regulators, and internal business units to streamline import entry clearance and export filing processes.
Project Management Support : Assist the Global Trade Compliance Team in managing high-profile projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Process Standardization and Internal Controls : Drive the standardization of import/export processes and internal control procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Lean Six Sigma Participation : Engage in Lean Six Sigma programs aimed at maximizing value, minimizing waste, and optimizing departmental effectiveness.
Self-Development and Mentorship : Commit to personal development while helping others identify capability gaps and growth opportunities that benefit both individuals and the organization.
Proactive Problem Solving : Anticipate and navigate obstacles in achieving complex, multi-dimensional goals, demonstrating resilience and strategic thinking.
Best Practices and Strategic Planning : Analyze internal and external business issues, recommending best practices and assisting in the formulation of strategic plans.

What you'll bring
- Self-Starter: Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, prioritize multiple projects, and manage time efficiently.
- Experience: In-depth knowledge and experience in import/export operations for multinational companies, including supply chain logistics and warehousing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Internet, CROSS, and Customs Info.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience from an accredited college/university preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of EU international trade compliance experience with a solid understanding of core trade principles, and healthcare industry experience is ideal.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
