Job Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing processes for the production of Plastic Pour Bottles.
  • Perform and document line clearances.
  • Verify correctness of material.
  • Responsible for supplying parts to and from the manufacturing operation.
  • Operate forklift to transfer boxes and totes to/from warehouse.
  • Stack bottles from boxes onto conveyor and off conveyor to boxes.
  • Inspect bottle and gasket assembly.
  • Load empty gaylords on production line to be filled with plastic pour bottles.
  • Pack plastic pour bottles into empty gaylords, cover and ensure proper labeling of product.
  • Report abnormalities and corrective action to shift leader/supervision.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 6S responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
  • Able to complete documentation legibly and per procedure.
  • Trained as forklift and hand cart driver preferred.Ability to operate material train to/from warehouse.
  • Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
  • Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop and climb ladders; stand for long periods of time; lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds and able to lift above the shoulders.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • Additional technical experience, training, or education a plus.
  • Basic mathematical skills and computer skills required.
