Your Role at Baxter

Your role as the Manufacturing Technologist you will be supporting the plant operation and drive excellence in manufacturing processes, product quality, & efficiency. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Production: Collaborate with all internal partners tackle production issues.

  • Assist Sr. Manufacturing and Quality Engineers with production line challenges and issues as they arise.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot manufacturing issues involving equipment or process flow to ensure efficient and effective production.

  • Provide technical expertise and mechanical repair when necessary.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.

  • Designs, build or source, new carts or other equipment for the manufacturing line, logistics department or others while strictly following budget restrictions after completing required approval protocols.

  • Confer and collaborate cross functionally to implement and design experiments to test a variety of outcomes. Develop test specification, run tests/experiments, train other personnel on how to run test and publish reports on the results.

  • Quality:Collaborate with the QA team members to maintain product safety/quality standards and address any deviations promptly.

  • Support and determine cross training needs with Team Leads and management.

  • Manufacturing Efficiencies: Identify inefficiencies in the manufacturing process and propose solutions for improvement with a safety mindset.

  • Documentation: Participate in the developing and maintenance of detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions and training materials.

  • Participate in validation work with guidance from the quality engineering team (IQ, OQ, & PQ).

  • Update documents for work instructions/standard operating procedures.

  • Update plant floor layout as necessary.

  • Support manufacturing line in the development of training documents.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and teamwork between other cross-functional roles to meet and exceed plant overall goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

  • 6+ months of documented work experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite, 2D/3D CAD software.

  • Proven mechanical aptitude.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $64,000 - $93,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
