Senior Principal UI/UX Designer

Are you an exceptionally skilled UI/UX designer looking for a new and exciting opportunity to showcase your talents? Baxter Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Senior Principal UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Banaglore. As a key member of our design team, you will play a critical role in creating flawless user experiences for our software applications. This is a unique chance to work on world-class projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform innovative ideas into reality.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete all visual design stages, starting from conceptualization and concluding with final hand-off for software development.
• Translate system requirements, software requirements, and use cases to mockups, wireframes, and visuals using input from Engineering, Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, and Human Factors.
• Generate iterations of the design that are evaluated by cross-functional teams and decisions documented for software implementation into the product.
• Design user experiences for software applications through the creation of interaction flows, design patterns, and medium to high fidelity prototypes.
• Produce and maintain pixel-perfect graphics, graphical components, and graphics asset libraries.
• Author UI Design Description and/or Graphic Specification documents.
• Apply extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and various design tools to create designs, prototypes, and wireframes (including Figma/Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Balsamiq, InVision, and other relevant software).
• Ensure appropriate traceability requirements, designs, graphic specifications, and mockups/wireframes/visuals.
• Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions such as Engineering, Risk Management, Compliance, Clinical, Human Factors, Regulatory, Marketing, and Service.
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to internal resources, potential contractors, and/or 3rd party service providers.
• Ensure compliance with the product development process and Quality System and Design Control requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with other cross-functional teams within the organization.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Design System, utilizing previous experience in this field.

Job Requirements

• Medical Device industry experience or experience in a regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in Linux/Qt and Windows platforms.
• Familiarity with development tools such as DOORs, Git, and Jira.
• Ability to apply theories and practices used outside the primary area of expertise.
• Skilled in influencing leadership on courses of action using varied communication styles.
• Capable of effectively operating in and facilitating cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of providing solutions that align with business objectives and cost implications.
• Accomplished in UI/UX design and successfully implementing those designs.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in a related field or equivalent experience (Masters preferred but NOT required).
• 12+ years of related design experience.
• Portfolio of past relevant work demonstrating your expertise.
• Experience in building a Design System from scratch.
