You have deep knowledge of and experience with manufacturing processes. You understand the importance of building relationships, establishing order, and maintaining clear communication channels. As a Supply Chain Manager, you are a leader who is willing to listen and inspire others by your actions. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Establish functional organizational structure that supports the Baxter strategy
  • Continuous development of processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Work closely with the finance team to understand part life cycle, obsolescence and cost accounting (plan for every part).
  • Lead and support continuous improvements activities to improve processes and drive accountability. Facilitate Kaizen events.
  • Provide a safe work environment for employees, ensuring that accidents are investigated and countermeasures implemented to eliminate recurrence.
  • Facilitate the investigation and impact assessment of defects and potential defects, and work with appropriate departments to implement countermeasures to protect customer fulfillment.
  • Manage department budget and stay within established targets.
  • Develop and foster culture of improvement activity by leading, coaching, and supporting employees to produce quality outcomes in their work.
  • Lead cyclical demand reviews with Global Commercial Operations leadership, Rental Fleet team, Sustaining Engineering, and Service.
  • Lead corresponding supply reviews with Manufacturing Operations leadership ensuring a consensus plan to fulfill revenue targets for the organization.
  • Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties.
  • Perform personnel functions such as selection, training, or evaluation.
  • Oversight of global adherence to Policy Deployment (PDP) and line rates
  • Implement, review, and manage the plants continuous improvement plan in the department.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly key process indicators for the department.
  • Set departmental expectations for results in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery, through yearly performance program.
  • Identify and reduce value stream waste, improve productivity, and reduce lead times in the department.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of five years of experience in operations of manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience both in managing people and production or engineering.
  • Five or more years managing personnel and complex activities, or comparable experience.
  • Five or more years of experience working in a mixed Union and Non-Union environment preferred.
  • Black Belt Certification in Six Sigma preferred.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement and TPS Methodologies
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
  • Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 - $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
