What You’ll Be Doing

It’s impossible to list everything you’ll do here because every day is different. But a few things are clear, you’ll:
  • Ensure all staff and service contractors perform tasks in compliance with Baxter and other regulatory guidelines and rules to ensure quality output.
  • Develop policies and procedures for operations within the Service Centre ensuring compliance with the intent of Baxter and regulatory requirements, also meeting the objectives of the Sales and Marketing team.
  • Ensure completeness and integrity of service and failure records in order to build accurate service histories on each product and present analysis of same to facilitate the quality improvement process.
  • Liaise with sales and technical staff to maintain understanding of product specifications and quality standards in order to utilise current information for repair and servicing of equipment.
  • Ensure business relationships reflect the basic principles of the Baxter Shared Commitments.
  • Ensure all employees are treated fairly, according to their skills, education, qualifications, experience, abilities and aptitudes, without discrimination so decisions are based on merit and equal opportunity.
  • Communicate corporate direction and strategy on Technical and product service planning by Global Business to regional service operations and local country management.
  • To disseminate appropriate technical information to relevant technical service team members, including authorised third party contractors.
  • Participate in Global and Regional team meetings to support communication on customer and business requirements.
  • Oversee the management of cost centre and capital equipment budgets and attain budgets to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Ensure Baxter loan and demonstration equipment is safe and performing to specifications.
  • Provide up to date information to Business Units regarding technical equipment issues
  • Comprehensive and accurate completion of all associated documentation
  • Liaise with business leaders and staff to maintain understanding of product specifications and quality control standards in order to utilise current information for repair and servicing of equipment and appropriately support customer needs.
  • Ensure Baxter products are certified as complying with relevant Standards in order to meet regulatory and customer requirements for equipment supplied by Baxter.
  • Preparation of detailed service and failure records in order to build accurate service histories on each product for analysis to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide customer training and technical support to assist the customer in the management of their own equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Provide direction, set priorities and assure proper performance through the identification of Key Performance Indicators. Ensure measurement & tracking of progress. Implement continuous improvement strategies as appropriate.
  • Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety is considered and applies as per Baxter guidelines and policies.

  • Minimum qualification of Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent.
  • Business management skills, preferably in a customer focused environment.
  • Strong technical skills with at least five years practical experience in a relevant service field.
  • Able to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical technologies and purposes.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff, contractors and customers.
