Finance Operations Director:

You will be responsible for financial support to the business unit, region or function through the management of planning and reporting activities. Included is oversight of the generation and consolidation of financial statements as well as development of recommendations to achieve business results.  Implement policies and procedures for reporting and internal control, and leading the team in completion of in corporate and other reporting and planning requirements. Owner of financial and business results.

1) Direct the analysis and reporting of financial statements, explaining trends, variance to budget and forecast for management reporting, with consolidation of results across multiple regions and businesses as necessary.

2) Provide proactive leadership for all operating forecast updates throughout the year as well as the annual operating plan and strategic plan.

3) Lead compliance with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC requirements, and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures for all related entities and operations.

4) Ensure that decision support services are provided to other functions of business.

5) Participate in business development decisions by driving analysis of alternatives and ensuring integration as needed.

6) Lead and participate in teams to define, develop, finalize, recommend and execute implementation project plans as appropriate.

7) Proactively focus on relevant business risks, lead appropriate risk assessment, and determine and drive implementation of mitigation plans.

8) Builds strong teams through motivation, direction, holding individuals accountable and provides challenging work.

•    Strong business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
•    Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse stakeholders; demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
•    Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
•    Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting.
•    Skilled at assembling and managing both ongoing staff as well as cross-functional teams as required.
•    Decisive leadership, with ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, rapidly decide upon best course of action and drive implementation of that decision.
