SUMMARY

Position is responsible for managing supply chain planning processes and act as an integrated link among multiple functions (Demand Management, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Planning, Warehousing & Distribution, Finance). The role should ensure optimization of operational flows, performance measurement processes and results while supporting business service agreements.
 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
Forecasting
  • Partner with the sales organization to gather and challenge Marketing Intelligence and input data into Forecasting System in line with demand management guideline.
  • Demand detailed analysis and follow up on forecast assumptions.
  • Work with Customer Service on demand smoothing initiatives where required.
  • Work closely with Finance Community to align Logistics & Financial Forecast by identifying gaps/opportunities/assumptions.
  • Issue Forecast/Demand Comparison with budget / financial forecast.
  • Sales detailed analysis and follow up on forecast assumptions.
  • Create Monthly Report and conduct/or participate in country S&OP
  • Identify process gaps & solutions to enhance results.
  • Identify Action Items to improve monthly indicators.
  • Maintain and monitor customer collaboration activities / collaborative forecast.
  • Monitors activities that will impact demand signal & updates forecast accordingly.
 
Inventory Management
  • Low cover management.
  • Low cover control and warnings.
  • Follow up utilizing Back Order comments.
  • Pipeline visibility: Timely and proactively transmit full pipeline info on backorder, low cover products to Customers and Marketing, inform on product replacement, substitution and obsolescence and support allocation plan.
  • Slow Moving/Excess Inventory Management.
  • Ensure Management of local MRB coordination and execution to agreed requirements.
  • Consignment inventory and discards follow up.
 
 
 
Support Activities
  • Data Integrity: check and correct data accuracy issues with regard to master files.
  • Code creation proposal.
  • Support daily customer service processes (control of consignment, backorders, low cover) 
  • Support Product Conversions: Ensure new forecasting & order management processes in place as conversions take place and monitor plan locally
  • Full participation and support of Supply Chain Planning projects
  • Follow-up releases and labeling priorities with QC
  • Maintain country profile / SLA for the country
 
  • Create and publish Monthly Reports (Order Fulfillment, Billable report…) and Weekly reports (Open Orders, Back-Orders…) with gap analysis
  • Act as Primarily contact with Manufacturing for MEA Order Management process

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Education/Experience

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in business or other technical discipline. APICS certification an advantage.

Skills

  • Experience with forecasting methodology and supply chain concepts and an understanding of their inter-relationship with finance and operations. Experienced in use of statistical forecast concepts.
  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills
  • Experience with demand and/or operations planning applications, database management tools, spreadsheet applications, and report writing tools.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office package tools
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum two years of experience in operations planning, logistics or manufacturing.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English.  Additional languages such as French or German is a plus
