The Job
The job as EHS Engineer for Department Facilities & Environment at Baxter is a great opportunity to develop your professional career in our EHS area. The position is a permanent role, reporting directly into the Manager Facilities & Environment.
Our department is responsible for Baxter-Lund facility maintenance, construction projects, security, fire protection, as well as systematic site coordination, advisory and operative work for environment, health and safety (EHS). Baxter - Lund is certified according to ISO 14001 and intends to certify as well within Occupational health and safety management in the future.
 
Since 2014, Baxter Lund is a part of the Baxter Inc., a major company in the health sector, with the ambition to become one of the best in the industry regarding EHS.
You will work with a broad spectrum of tasks within environment and occupational safety. This work will include coordination, lead and support to managers and site operations in order to improve the performance of the operating procedures, production and product development. You will work closely with the Manager Facilities & Environment to continue to build and sustain a strong safety culture and build awareness of EHS work within the organization. You will play a key role in the maintenance and development of the EHS management system and it’s continued integration into the new Baxter organization and standards.

Qualifications

Who you are
  • University or high school graduate with focus on  environmental- and/or occupational safety management 
  • You will have between, 5-7 years of professional experience in the field, preferably with prior knowledge of environmental and/or safety management
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken is mandatory
  • You are expected to have a strong interest and commitment to practical EHS work, and an understanding of prerequisites for industrial production and technological development
  • You have the ability to take the initiative, collaborate, create good relations and possess strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • You must be able to network, work in teams, be good to enthuse and encourage participation. You are probably an informal leader
  • You are self–motivated and have the ability to work with a degree of autonomy to achieve deadlines to ensure a high level of service delivery
  • You are structured, organized and take an interest in med tech production
