Operator II - Extrusion

Sets up and operates compounding/extrusion machine for manufacturing of reservoir and bladders as specified by drawings, procedures, specifications, and work orders by performing the following duties.
Operates mixer, cutter, salt bath, extruder and other equipment within the cleanroom by following system specifications.
Maintains and cleans the equipment, area and auxiliary equipment.
Able to perform small corrective and preventive maintenance activities in those equipments.
Responsible for documenting all batch related and test results information. All required documentation must be well maintained and following the GDP applicable.
Able to operate the equipment and make appropriate parameter adjustments to maintain the product within the specification using the validated parameters.
Required to communicate well with others and assist project teams when required.
Well understanding of measurement equipment is required.
Performs cycle count inventory.
Works with Technician to troubleshoot and repair equipment in the area as necessary.
Works with Technician to monitor/maintain equipment/process as necessary.
Able to keeps track of process performance as yields, defective rate, cycle times and others productivity indexes.
Supports Engineering activities regarding Rubber area as necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years related experience and/or training and cleanroom manufacturing experience a plus. Prior experience in running cleanroom equipment preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization or to regulatory agencies.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Communication Skills: Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
