Maintenance Mechanic II

Fabricate parts within tolerances prescribed on blueprints and drawings using North Cove Machine Shop equipment. Set up and operate all North Cove
Machine Shop equipment safely and efficiently to include CNC milling machine and lathe, standard milling machines, standard lathes, surface grinder,
ID/OD grinder, tool grinder, horizontal milling machine and other manual and automatic machines. Fabricate parts for and rebuild production machine
components and assemblies. Utilize blueprints, drawings, and sample parts to obtain information required to prevent damages or excessive wear by
exceeding machine capability Use precision measuring instruments to check machine accuracy and to assure work is within tolerances specified. Maintain
all shop machines in good working condition. Keep machines and shop area neat and clean. Perform Preventative Maintenance on assigned shop equipment.
Assist Engineering and Project Leaders in machine component design and research and development work assigned by maintenance supervision.
Provide on-the-job training for registered apprentices as assigned by maintenance supervision. Generate and use software programs for use in the
computer numeric control shop equipment. Perform maintenance tasks and activities in other areas of the plant when required for support of overall

Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments and North Cove Machine Shop equipment. Occasionally will be required to work in areas that
are hot. cold, noisy, or dirty.
Must use caution while working around moving equipment, cutting machines and power tools.
Must conform to the North Cove Dress code and safety procedures for this area.
Overtime as required.
