What You’ll Be Doing
 
Job Summary:
  1. Support Singapore manufacturing operations on product costing, manufacturing accounting and FP&A.
  2. Contribute to comprehensive planning processes (long range plan, forecasts, and operating plan) for the business in partnership with key Singapore team members.
  3. Act as a key business partner to Operations by providing financial expertise and solutions to achieve business objectives.
This section contains a list of key primary responsibilities of this role. The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
  1. Product costing and manufacturing close
  2. Item master and product costing lead
  3. Ensure master data are set up correctly before cost roll
  4. Responsible for manufacturing closing & analysis which covers material usage variance, conversion loss variance, labor variance, labor and overhead absorption.
  5. Product cost simulation and make-buy analysis
  6. WIP account reconcilation is completed timely
  7. Annual preparation of manufacturing cost statement for Certificate of Origin declaration
  8. Financial Planning & Analysis
  9. Support Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast
  10. Capital Expenditure Request preparation and tracking
  11. Ensure no financial surprises and highlight to supervisor of any financial exposure
  12. Work closely with operations to keep abreast of activities having financial impact
  13. Ensure reliable and timely financial reporting.
3.   Business partner with operations.
  1. Key contributior to the comprehensives business planing process, including Long range plans, annual operating plan,  quarterly forecasts and new product/ process analysis.
  2. Prepare monthly management reports.
  3. Provide value add training to operations.
  4. Streamline & improve process / reporting
4.   Corporate Governance and Internal Controls.
  1. Establish and adherence to policies and procedures to ensure adequacy of internal controls to safeguard assets.
  2. Make recommendation to operations on internal controls.
  3. Ensure compliance to Sarbanes Oxley Act and Corporate Policies.
  4. Ensure that there are adequate mitigating controls to offset any segregation of duties conflicts.
  5. Ensure financial records are in compliance with statutory requirement and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
5.   Adhoc Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/ Education:
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
Skill Set and/or Experience:
  • Min 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, challenge status quo
  • Good communication and influencing skills
