Role Responsibilities
  • Achieve revenue, sales, profit & qualitative objectives and targets for the assigned products within own geographical area
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned customers & plan visits with them
  • Build and develop professional long-term customer relationships
  • Prepare, implement and review targeted account plans aligned with the commercial policies defined by Baxter
  • Plan and prepare for each customer visit and record outcomes
  • Propose and provide each customer with appropriate solutions that will maximize opportunities both for the customer and for Baxter
  • Communicate all relevant information to existing and potential customers to guarantee their awareness of Baxter product portfolio and its benefits
  • Acquire new customers
  • Capture and maintain all relevant sales and customer data
  • Gather and share with other clinical account managers and with line management all possible information on market intelligence and competitor activities to help anticipate competitive moves
  • Maintain presence in all existing & target customers
  • Deal with customer complaints & implement corrective actions
  • Continuously assess the market for new customers / opportunities / risks for Baxter products
  • Deliver input for budget and forecast discussion with line management
  • Present Baxter products & their advantages, organize & distribute all needed promotional material and organize test usage where needed
  • Contribute to the tender management process for all tenders in the allocated area (where applicable)
  • Participate in congresses and other customer events
  • Provide customer training and support / assistance where needed
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager, Key Account Managers and other Clinical Sales Representatives
  • To operate at expert level of knowledge in the therapy & product area
  • Leads and co – ordinates all function in Baxter required to set up a new account
  • Lead the product demo’s when trained and competent
  • Maintain and build knowledge level on Advanced Surgery products and related therapy areas


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Scientific or medical / paramedical degree
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience within Healthcare Industry / Hospital environment / medical sales – Preferably medical devices
  • Proven track records in Sales is an asset
  • Fluency in Dutch and English. Any other European language is an added value
  • Hunter with strong drive for results
  • Business acumen of Hospital environment and/or medical devices
  • Team player
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong communicator, verbal and non-verbal
