The role of the IT Manufacturing Manager UK is responsible for the quality and delivery of IT systems and services on schedule, using assigned internal and external resources and following standards for our Elstree, Liverpool and Thetford Manufacturing sites. 
 
Role Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring delivery of technical solutions, implementation, support and quality
  • Deliver the operational IT mentoring and leadership for the Elstree, Thetford and Liverpool Manufacturing plants
  • Contribute to the overall/strategic direction of the European IT manufacturing function
  • Review project team deliverables
  • Interact with customers to understand their business and to anticipate IT solutions based on business and technical knowledge
  • Be responsible for capital expense and project budgets
  • Provide direct supervision and mentoring of team members
  • Keep current on industry trends in IT and the business or functional areas supported
  • Participate in setting direction and standards for the European IS Manufacturing portfolio and team
  • Occasional travel to other Baxter sites

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects including budgets
  • Up to date knowledge of technology servers and networks
  • Ability to negotiate
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field preferred or relevant work experience
