Sr. Maintenance Technician ( Machine Shop, 1st shift)

The Sr. Maintenance Technician (Machine Shop) works as a key member of a high performance team responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations and equipment in a pharmaceutical production environment. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain consistent excellence and safety in supporting our machine shop including: project and cost tracking, material and consumables stocking, and equipment maintenance
Repair of manufacturing tooling and equipment as needed.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, saw and grinder to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
Maintain appropriate equipment documentation and change control according to internal procedures.
Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development.
Able to achieve Aseptic 10K Gowning Certification.
Qualifications for this role
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical and fluid power systems.
The ability to read and understand blueprints is required
Ability to weld, machine to repair various material as needed within tolerance of existing parts.
Physical / Safety Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
May be required to stand for over 4 hours per day
Must be able to lift 20 pounds overhead
Must be able to wear personal protective as required.
Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends
Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment and hand tools is required
Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience in a multi craft environment.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Machinist, Tool & Die, or closely related position required.
