Job Description
  • As a Principal Software Design Engineer in Test, you will design, develop, execute and maintain automation test frameworks, tools and test cases that can validate overall quality & scalability of our software products and ensure a high quality release to customers.
  • You are expected to have industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to significantly improve product quality.
  • You should have a solid in-depth knowledge of ensuring testability, creating test automation solutions for Enterprise applications as well as ensuring quality of software applications created using multitier architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design,  and test execution of highly complex systems.
  • Ability to  design and plan testing conditions, test scripts, and test data sets for driving the automation of the testing of a scalable, secure, highly available world class platforms in embedded & application space Research into new test/validation technologies/methodologies
  • Work with development team to develop tests and frontload quality.
  • Develop test frameworks and test tools on both Enterprise as well as Web platforms.
  • Work with cross functional teams to ship high quality releases.
  • Ability to triage issues, Reacts well to changes, Works independently or with teams, Able to multi-task


  • BE/ BS/ MS in Computer Science or equivalent from a premier institute with minimum of 8+ years of experience as SDET ( Software Design Engineer in Test).
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures.
  • Hands on experience on functional testing & white box testing with a strong understanding of/experience with SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches
  • Experience with working in DevOps environment – “you build it, you run it”
  • Solid Experience with Agile based test methodology, familiar with Continuous Integration such as Jenkins, Hudson, etc.
  • Experience to create automation frameworks and follow through to create and execute automated test scripts
  • Experience with a variety of types of testing, including whitebox, performance and security.
  • Enhance, extend, and maintain test automation libraries and frameworks using industry standard tools like Robot Framework, Squish, Test Complete, QTP, Selenium
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills & track record of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers
  • Superb analytical skills, excellent communication, strong team ethic, and attention to details - be meticulous!
  • Experience in large-scale software deployments
  • Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects in complex software features
  • Ability to adapt to short sprint cycles (1-2 weeks) and experienced in the full software lifecycles from design to deployment.
