Act as a key business partner by providing financial expertise and solutions to achieve business objectives and contribute to the development and assessment of new business strategies across Singapore.  Finance lead for Singapore operations and directs the country's overall accounting & reporting, tax and treasury practices. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Performance Indicators
  • Oversees all accounting and reporting processes for the Singapore operations
  • Ensures good corporate governance and enforces compliance with all local statutory and Baxter accounting and reporting standards.
  • Ensures the existence of a robust financial controls environment and promotes ownership of and ensures compliance to financial controls within the company including process compliance and tax compliance
  • Oversees Baxter’s tax and treasury practice within the country, closely cooperating with corporate and regional tax and treasury departments
  • Drives the identification, implementation and maintenance of strong & efficient processes
  • Designs, leads and implements a comprehensive business planning
  • Interaction with key Singapore team members, SEA FP&A Manager, SEA Finance Director and other SEA Finance team members
  • Developing clear timelines, responsibilities, follow-up and internal review processes for the business
  • Review and evaluate accuracy of information and assumptions applying key business knowledge 
  • Communication of plans to senior management     
  • Coach and develop team members by providing

  • Promoting teamwork,
  •  Provide analytical support through pricing and margin analysis and provide financial approval for Singapore tender submissions
  • Interpret and clearly communicate in a timely and relevant manner the monthly, quarterly and ytd business results for  Singapore to senior management by presentation at key business meetings and other operating reviews 
  • Lead value creation and operational excellence initiatives by challenging business assumptions and processes and by soliciting and understanding customer needs. Support future Finance initiatives to improve business partner support. Develop innovative tools and analysis models to understand profitability, enable business decisions and improve information flow
  • Participate as a valued member of the various management leadership teams and exhibit financial leadership on a day to day basis by:
  • Providing clear, concise input and feedback to the team,
  • Anticipating and clearly communicating on-going issues and concerns
  • Evaluating and recommending alternate plans and strategies 
  • Attract, develop and retain talent to ensure a high performing team
  • Act as trusted business partner leveraging financial and business expertise to drive great decisions
  • Ensure integrity of all financial data, controls and business practices

Education and/or Experience:
  • CPA/CA or equivalent qualification
  • Yrs of Experience: minimum 7 - 10 years progressive Finance experience (management accounting)
