The role of a fixed term Workshop Engineer will be for a period of 11 months, with the initial first few months covering introductions, internal training, an external 3 day training course held onsite which you must pass to ensure you are working to full efficiency. 9 months of full activity will then commence at the engineering desk within the workshop.
The commercial team will purchase used equipment to be brought back onto site, where the equipment will go through decontamination and from there on as the qualified engineer you will deal with the whole engineering process. The medical equipment will be brought on a trolley for assessment where you will be checking for damages, failures, parts which need replacing, completing cosmetic work, carrying out maintenance work and rectifying issues to strict set standards and procedures. The medical device will need to obtain a 100% pass Quality Control check before being sent back to the engineer for device packing and distribution. This medical device will then be available to be out on lease arranged by the commercial team.
Inspect, install, service and maintain products in the workshop
Establish & maintain communication & partnership with team members

Ensure all activities are performed following the available instructions within the quality system framework
Report all relevant service activity, to ensure updated and accurate service data in the service system
Skills and Experience
- Electronics ONC/HNC Qualification or equivalent
- Experience preferably with Medical instrumentation or Electro-mechanic devices
- Experience abiding to procedures in a Quality systems manual
