Facility Engineer I

The Facilities Engineer must continually demonstrate professional competency in assuming liaison or control responsibility for coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities while interacting with all other elements of the organization. The complexity of the plant/facilities engineer position is such that no single engineering science comprises all its needs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, one to three years of experience. Computer knowledge, good interpersonal skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal or external audits, immediate supervisor. Fluently in English and Spanish languages (oral and writing).
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, EXAMS
cGMP's Training, Explosive license, Professional Engineer, Member of "CIAPR" of P.R. and other certificates, or exams that the immediate supervisor refers.
COMPANY REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
Observes and promotes company security, industrial hygiene, cGMP's, procedures and other security measures already established by the company; should inform any violation.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (with the appropriate safety equipment that company provides). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; extreme heat; explosives; and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The employee is required to use the appropriate Safety Equipment that Baxter requires to comply with all Safety and Security rules (in Regulated Areas), such as: safety glasses, safety shoes, uniform, special safety suit, gloves, ear plugs, safety stairs, etc.
The incumbent must be use industrial and non industrial computerized system; manufacturing and laboratory equipment; telephone; office supply; copy machine; fax machine; computer.
