The job as Materials Planner at Baxter is a great opportunity to develop your professional career in our Supply Chain area. You will be responsible for ensuring material availability to meet production plan considering lead times, MOQ and inventory turn goals.
 
Coordination with members of production, warehouse, engineering, inventory control and quality is paramount to achieve sales and service objectives. You will maintain a close working collaboration with Manufacturing and Strategic Buyers.
You will be responsible for maintaining MRP parameters and must have a clear understanding of inventory management, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
 
 
Role Responsibilities
 
  • Analyze the current procurement policies of materials and define future purchasing strategies
  • Evaluate system functionality and define the most appropriate setting to support the acquisition strategy defined
  • Manage the MRP optimization projects
  • Reflect in the impacted processes and proposals for improvements resulting from the above initiatives
  • Implement KPI 's to monitor suppliers performances and inventory levels
  • Operationally manage the following business processes: Material master data management; MRP Management (Material Requirement Planning); Control of inventory levels; Issue of purchase requisitions for direct materials
  • Finally, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager, based at Medolla Plant.
 
Skills and Experience
 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain / Material Planning / Purchasing Operational
  • Good understanding of production planning techniques
  • Deep knowledge of the logical operation of an ERP system (in particular the MRP module)
  • Excellent communication skills ( written and oral ) and strong orientation to interpersonal relationships
  • Critical Sense and organizational skills and ability to work in team
  • Excellent knowledge of English language both written and verbal
  • A strong capability of analysis and data processing through professional use of supporting applications (mainly MS excel)
