The role:

Join our successful and experienced VIC Sales team and work with key hospital personnel - clinicians, nursing staff, pharmacy and procurement teams in the major hospitals in VIC.

Your main responsibility will be to establish, maintain and develop mutually beneficial and profitable business relationships between Baxter Healthcare and its customers (both external and internal). You will be responsible for the delivery of Sales and KPI targets (70%) and providing superior quality education and training (30%) on Baxter Medication Delivery products and equipment. You will maximise sales opportunities and retain existing business to achieve both revenue and gross profit growth. Another key result area in this role is the education / technical advisory component – you will prove support and education to current and potential Baxter customers on the optimal use of Baxter products.

What you will be doing:

• Meet the Baxter 2020 Goal of providing and ensuring ‘Quality and Patient Safety’
• Achieve sales goals and maintain profitability in consultation with sales and marketing teams
• Identify incremental business opportunities and develop relevant strategies
• Be a key sales & education advocate for total Medication Delivery product portfolio
• Establish relationships and network with all levels of clinical/management - offering excellent service, back-up and product knowledge
• Participate in territory management with the Training & Educator Manager, National Sales Manager, Medication Delivery and Healthcare Solutions teams as well as our Marketing and Sales Specialists
• Provide market information and data to develop a sound understanding of the marketplace
• Provide clinical expertise within the Medication Delivery Sales and Educator teams
• Co-ordinate and provide education and on-going training throughout trials and implementations of Fluid System Products
• Continue ongoing product support starting from implementation, following the complete product life cycle
• Understand how Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and trends affect customers and how EHS initiatives can provide a marketing advantage
• Ensure Baxter product information material is provided to customers has been approved by Marketing and / or Medical Affairs

Qualifications

The ideal background will include demonstrated sales and account management experience in healthcare.

• Commercial / Sales / Account management in Healthcare - essential
• Bachelor degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, Nursing or Science related field
• 2 years Commercial / Sales / Account management experience in healthcare
• 2 years Educator / Training background
• Understanding of adult learning principles
• Well-developed presentation and communication skills – ability to impart technical and conceptual information
• Proven relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering customer satisfaction
• Ability to work autonomously with a drive and determination to succeed
• Aptitude for learning and development and a collaborative team approach
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
• Ability to be flexible with working hours and undertake interstate travel
• Current drivers licence
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
