Summary of Role:
Reporting to the UK / Ireland Market Access Director, the focus of this role is to develop and execute Baxter’s Evolving Health programme in Ireland.  The successful candidate will also be expected to engage at senior level with key HSE, DOH and NHS decision makers/leaders in order to drive our program forward.   As Market Access Manager, you will develop, lead, drive and deliver our core Baxter Value Propositions across national Baxter identified accounts.  This will include demonstrating exceptional knowledge of systems/processes/policy and reimbursement structures, both in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and working with internal teams to design appropriate value messages and tools. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, capture and implement revenue generating opportunities using Baxter’s prioritised value propositions
  • Working with the Market Access team , support development of new innovative value propositions or business development opportunities as required – such as pathway redesign projects.
  • At National level, develop key strategic relationships with e.g. CEOs/ Board Members/Operations Directors/Finance Directors within identified hospitals and trusts  – to drive forward Baxter projects
  • Support the management team to design an internal Market Access approach for agreed value proposition(s) 
  • Develop and implement  a key internal and external stakeholder plan to communicate Baxter’s value proposition to key members of the medical community and government
  • Work collaboratively to build and communicate specific HSE, NHS business/financial models which demonstrate $ value to the customer and to Baxter.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships regionally, working consultatively.
  • Work collaboratively and openly with all internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education
  • University degree, ideally, with a Post Graduate Business Qualification                   
     
     
    Experience
  • Experience of a national sales/commercial/market access role at a Senior Manager level, dealing with senior personnel within the HSE or NHS on both the provider and purchaser side
  • Proven experience of business planning / market analysis and production of Value Propositions based on Market Access principles. Ideally, some Product Management experience.
  • Proven experience of the tendering and procurement processes and in commercial negotiations
  • Knowledge across multiple therapy areas
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong business planning skills and understanding of key financial metrics
  • Excellent knowledge of healthcare policy, structures, organisation and reimbursement.
