The Role
As a Finance & Accounting Subject Matter Expert your role will be to transition finance and accounting processes from local countries to Baxter’s Shared Service Centre and Centres of Excellence in Dublin. You will be reporting to the Head of PMO and Operational Excellence.
 
Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor work-shadowers to perform effectively in their role.
  • Develop and deliver process documentation, training content and super user support for accounting activities, as requested.
  • Deliver guidance, insight and technical expertise related to general accounting.
  • Advise the project team about the downstream impact of decisions and directions proposed.
  • Manage project deadlines and demonstrate commitment to relevant forums, projects and business developments.
  • Liaising with Baxter teams to define as-is and to-be business process and systems.
  • Conduct fit-gap workshops and analysis for potential solutions.
  • Participate in process improvement reviews across retained finance, captive shared service and outsourced teams as part of ongoing exception management and continuous improvement activities.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Finance or Accounting.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified.
  • Extensive accounting experience within a multinational or Shared Service environment.
  • Understanding of the key principles of International Accounting Standards.
  • Project management skills desirable.
  • Experience in transition projects a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
